Research Context

Per CMA API (ID 125207): Saint-Cloud factory caster (saupoudreuse) with all-white molded prunus branch decorations. CMA explicitly notes these "are characteristic of blanc de chine, the term used in France to reference the highly prized porcelain produced in the southeastern Fujian province of Dehua, China." Silver mount bears Hubert Louvet discharge mark (1732–1738). CC0 public domain; 6 images available. Currently in Gallery 216A (French and German).
