Research Context
Per AIC API (artwork ID 18560): censer in the form of an ancient bronze fangding (rectangular cauldron). Lucy Maud Buckingham Collection. The fangding is an iconic Shang-Zhou ritual bronze form; its translation into Dehua white porcelain complements the round ding censer at V&A (FE.302-2005). Public domain.
